So... is "just a little" mold ever OK?
Well, the answer depends on the pallet application and the customer preferences.
The primary concern is the potential for moldy pallets to contaminate the products that are shipped on them. Many industries store pallets and finished goods outdoors and are accustomed to dealing with mold and other factors that occur naturally in that environment.
The good news is that pallets start drying out just as soon as they are produced. And as we all know, controlling moisture is the key to controlling mold.
Does the potential of a little mold on pallets affect your application? If you are not sure, ask in the comments below. We can help you understand if your product is at risk.
