It is a straightforward process. The level of complexity is based on the style and design of the pallet being produced.
- Step 1 - The lumber is cut to size for the pallet components.
- Step 2 - The cut lumber is brought to a nailing station where it either gets loaded into an automated nailing machine or placed on a jig to be nailed by hand. Wooden pallets can be assembled using a variety of tools such as hammer and nail, nail guns and automated nailing machines.
- Step 3 - After the pallets are nailed together, they are stacked and staged for delivery.
Tune in next week when we will take a look at the two different options for nailing the components of the pallet together.
