There are numerous benefits to using plastic pallets in a closed loop or in-house system. But, in order to make sure that you continue to receive a positive return on your investment, it is important to minimize the number of pallets that get lost or stolen.
Here are some tips on how to prevent your pallets from falling into the wrong hands:
- Custom Colors
Pallet users can get their plastic pallets in custom colors. These colors can be used to show ownership and can reduce confusion when there are multiple vendors involved in a system. Custom colors can also be used to show which area a plastic pallet needs to be returned to within an in-house system. A custom color can also discourage theft because they can be recognized quickly.
- Company Logo
The addition of your company name or logo can clearly show ownership of the plastic pallet and it can reduce the motivation for someone to steal it. This is also a great way to promote your company.
- RFID Chips
Radio Frequency Identification Chips can be added to the pallet to aid in pallet tracking and inventory control. This can be especially beneficial when tracking your plastic pallets within a system in order to stage future shipments and reduce loss.
