Why would someone want to use a plastic pallet for an application other than the shipping of product?
There are several reasons.
- Plastic pallets come in a variety of sizes with consistent dimensions.
- They are made from a strong, durable, waterproof material.
- Plastic pallets are relatively low cost and are a much less expensive option than a custom design for your unique application.
- Plastic Pallet as Water Filter
A company that designs and builds wastewater treatment facilities needed a grated top plastic piece to use as a filter at the bottom of their wastewater tanks. They looked at a costly custom-designed piece of plastic before they saw our 48x40 - 330 PE nestable plastic pallet. The current design of this plastic pallet model was very similar in size and design to what they were looking for. They have now been using them successfully in every new facility that they build.
- Plastic Pallet as Custom Riser
A flood control company was looking for a 24”x18” plastic piece to help keep battery backups for their sump pumps about 5” off of the floor. They had looked at some costly custom designs and then they found our 200 ACM - 32”x24” plastic pallet. We now cut 14” off of the 32” side of the pallet to make it the 24”x18” size that they need. They sell it to customers and use it in every backup battery installation that they have.
- Plastic Pallet as a False Floor
A company with a large computer server room had an issue with multiple cords and data lines on the floor, which was a tripping hazard. They saw our solid top plastic pallets and decided to utilize them to set up a raised “false” floor and allow the cords and data lines to run underneath the pallets. This solved their problem and proved to be a much less expensive solution than a custom-built computer room floor.
